REACHABLE BUROT

LOOKING FOR THE CHEAPEST AND NEAREST BEACH NEAR THE METRO?
Probably this is the most nearest destination in batangas for a short vacation even if it’s not summer.

                             “BUROT BEACH”

For about 3 hours from the metro, burot beach is easy to access without any hustle .before you reach this relaxing place you will pass through the city of tagaytay.

Travel guide on how to go there.
 by commute:
  • Take a van in pasay rotonda(at the back of kabayan hotel) bound to calagatan fare is 180.00 pesos first trip is 04:00 am in the morning, the van will drop you off at the market where in you can buy all the things that you needed, there are karinderya as well at the market so you can take a breakfast before you go to the beach.
  •   From the market hire a tricycle going to burot beach fare is 50.00 pesos each, expect a rough travel since road is not yet develop.
  •   Entrance fee is “ wow” quite expensive 120.00 pesos. Table can be rented for 300.00 pesos it’s optional.
  •   Going back is the same you need to get the number of the tricycle driver so that he can fetch you :back to the market where van is waiting there back to manila.

You can enjoy the creamy white sand and it’s beautiful sunrise and sunset, when it comes to the beach  I would rate burot  as OK, it’s because it’s not really as beautiful compare to other  beaches that I been too specially during low tide. Water is clear on the deep part but not near the shore, it’s kinda grassy. However it’s still quite relaxing you can still do a lot of things  in burot since it has long stretch of shore, good for team building.

There are no accommodation in burot  beach, so it’s back to basics you can do camping and make sure you bring every material that you need, electricity is only available at the store and at the guard house  that ran through a generator so technically speaking there is no electricity make sure you bring your flashlight or emergency lights.

                                         THE BEACH AND THE SHORE

Water source is ok but only good for washing and bathing not for drinking so bring lots of water as well, common bathroom is available but to set your expectation   it’s not really good there some holes and the toilet bowl is kind of dirty.,(excuse me) but it’s true I don’t know why  the management or the care taker did not put an effort  to improve on that matter specially there are some visitors that  looking for at least a good one, despite of a quite pricy entrance fee.

If you’re fun of snorkeling, I suggest go to this part it’s because marine life is quite abundant.

Well it’s for you to find out about this beach so what are you waiting for, packed up and explore.

You can contact:
Mervin (tricyle driver) : 0936-707-4495

Things to do:

  • Swimming
  •  Snorkeling
  •  Go to the sand bar you can hire a boat that will take you to the sand bar.
  • Bonfire
  • Try henna tattoo

THE SLEEPING BEAUTY "MASASA BEACH"

Looking for a cheapest and easy to travel summer getaway, this place will surely help you out and one of  my highly recommended destination.

Batangas City, tagged as the center of Marine Bio-Diversity because of it's rich marine life habitat, known  for diving spots batangas has also a lot to offer when  it comes to beaches,to name a few there is Burot beach, located in Calatagan and Matabungkay in Laiya and some famous coves situated in Batangas, however i like Masasa beach among of those that i mentioned its becuase of its simplicity.

                                       "MASASA BEACH"

Situated in the island of tingloy Mabini,Batangas. It's approximately 3-4 hour trip by land and sea, this is also the reason why i strongly recommended this place it's because of its short-travel time.

Here are some Travel tips, that will help you out if you're planning to go there.

by commute:
Going to masasa beach.

  • take a bus at LRT-Buendia,you can choose either DLTB bus or CERES LINER bound to Batangas tell the conductor to drop you off to Batangas Grand Terminal fare is P157.00 for DLTB and P147.00 for CERES LINER.Bus interval every hour.
  • from Grand Terminal, take a jeepney ride bound to anilao mabini and tell the driver to drop you off to anilao port fare is P35.00,if you are to hire a private boat  you need to go to Talaga port the same jeep will bound there as well.
  • boat schedule going to tingloy island is from 9:00 am 10:30 am,last trip is  at 4:00 pm  fare is P65.00 so don't miss the ride or else you need to hire a private one which is more expensive. Its a 45 minute to an hour ride depends on weather condition.(some locals said that the boat trip is now on an  hourly basis, better if you stick to the boat schedule)
  • from tingloy port, local tricyles are waiting to take you too masasa beach a 5 minute ride, fare is P60.00 regardless how many are you, it's per trip basis.
  • and then it's a 10 minute walk on a rice field,,(awesome,,refreshing specially it it'green.

Now here are some Photo's guys enjoy.

our boat...we hired a private one to maximize the time.
tingloy port at it's best, even at the port the water is already clear and clean.

In Masasa Beach, just to set your expectation it's back to basics,NO ENTRANCE FEE..but there is electricity and water source is ok just approach the locals of course a small amount of donation will do,but if you're fun of adventure you need to bring everything like camping materials lot's of water, food and power banks.

Rice fields and it's harvest time.

GOOD NEWS,GOOD NEWS.GOOD NEWS...... for non-campers, that don't want to bring everything, just my last visit, well i'm writing this as we speak.I spoke to one of the locals ate Rosie Salazar very accommodating, they have now kubo's for rent at reasonable price with complete use of the facility meaning good wash rooms, good water source and comfortable to sleep, they offer 'paluto as well' with a charged.Good for those who wants to have a team building you don't need to worry anymore where to sleep, kubos can accommodate up to 40 persons, they do have rooms for couple and for small groups as well.Kubo is very good inside

IMPORTANT TIP...
Guys, don't forget to go to the other side of the shore, amazing view is waiting you there, it's just a 10 minute walk from the campsing site or from the shore, most of the visitors missed this cos there's no guide or local tourism at all that will tell you to go there ate rosie the one that told us.

the other side of the beach where the sun sets..

this is the other side guys, go there and enjoy.

Lastly, my overall experience is good, verdict on the beach for me it's good 7 out of 10 depends on how you appreciate nature.Sand not too fine like boracay or puerto but its creamy white, what i like most is the CORALS.clean and clear water you can even see your feet under so don't forget to bring your goggles.

CAGBALETE ISLAND LOVING NATURE WITH PLEASURE

Every day, week, month  and a year  is always  summer,  I always look for something to explore and to relax outside the metro, so let me share this to you guys one of the places that we visited in Quezon province.

CAGBALETE ISLAND”…hhmm   sounds like “ BALETE” the famous balete drive where in white lady  appears during night but it’s not what you think of, you might not notice any balete  tree in the island.

I’ve been in Cagbalete for almost three times now and still my heart and soul always wanted to go back again and again, WHY??? It’s because the place is relaxing and amazing including those locals which is very accommodating.

Located in the town of Mauban, Quezon.  Approximately  a  five to six  hour  travelling time from metro manila, it’s still quiet accessible .From edsa, you can take JAC LINER on kamias road, there are buses bound to Mauban,Quezon and pass through the town Laguna and Batangas, first trip is 4:00am you better not to miss the first trip cos the second ride will be at  10 am and fare is around 345 pesos (not sure if it’s updated) .

The  bus will drop you at mauban exactly, from there take a tricyle ride that will take you to the port for about  5-10 minute ride and fare is 15 pesos each, the last time I went there that was 2014, I was surprised that they are now charging an environmental fee  of 50 pesos each, I’m wandering  where this money will go to cos you’re actually going to the island not at the port its acceptable if you pay in the island , well anyways that’s what they  do. From the port you need to catch the first trip of the boat at 10 am, there are two boats namely (“neneng” but forgot the second one) who travel back and forth travel time is about 40-45 minute, depends on Weather condition the second one is at 11 am don’t miss this guys or else you need to hire a private one which a little bit expensive.
                        View of the Island
                            Almost there
                  With Ricthie the horsie

The first time I went there it was December with my friend Jayson, and also it was the time that we met the other group namely Sam, Josh and Jiji our friendship started in cagbalete by the way.

There’s a lot Resort in the island that offers accommodation you can choose from Pansacola beach resort, Villa Cleofas, Sto. Nino  and Villa Noe. All these resort offers a reasonable rate, you can also make a bargain to save if you are on a tight budget and you can even ask for a discount depends on your sales talk. We stayed in Pansacola beach resort since it’s more easy to reach compare to the others, from the port it will take for about 15-20 minute walk, if it’s your first time you can hire those little boys at the port to guide you to the resort and payment depends on you, by the way source of living in the island is hard most of the time fishing so whatever amount you give will put foods on their  table and a smile on their face.
                 At the cagbalete port
Going to pansacaola resort witch sam.josh, jiji and jay

REMINDER: ELECTRICITY IS ONLY FROM 6 PM TO 12 MIDNIGHT.
WASH ROOM IS GOOD,WATER SUPPLY IS GOOD AS WELL.
KITCHEN UTENSILS YOU CAN RENT,GRILLER IS AVAILABLE AT                THE RESORT(THIS IS IN PANSACOLA ONLY).

In Pansacola beach resort, nippa hut and rooms are available ranges from 1500-3000 pesos, they do have air-conditioned room as well and if you really want to save on your travel you can bring your own tent and just pay 300 pesos for pitching overnight, water source is ok, wash rooms are good ..well,  aside  from the awesome beach you can also  include this activity on your travel, you can ask the boatman that’s working also in the resort to take you to “bonsai island”(500-600 pesos) where in you can only see this during low tide, the view is  perfect  for picture taking where in you can actually see  the  neighboring island which is Polillo island so don’t forget to bring your gadgets to capture every moment ,and also if you want to experience really fine white sand you  can ask the boatman to take you to the  “MANGROVE” (600 pesos)the sand  there is comparable to the likes of Boracay and Puerto Galera, also water is clear perfect for snorkeling so bring goggles as well.
                                         Nippa huts

During our stay, we enjoyed the fine white sand of the beach and clear water when you  go into a bit deeper part, and what good thing about the beach of the island is that it’s still shallow even you go  for about 200 meters from the shore  you will see a long and wide  white sand of the beach during low tide.
                                          Fine white sand

At bonsai island me fishing lol...
You can do bonfire as well
            Chill before we sleep

OVERALL EXPERIENCE AWESOME…WILL I GO BACK THERE? YESSSSS            DEFINITELY.
