Batangas City, tagged as the center of Marine Bio-Diversity because of it's rich marine life habitat, known for diving spots batangas has also a lot to offer when it comes to beaches,to name a few there is Burot beach, located in Calatagan and Matabungkay in Laiya and some famous coves situated in Batangas, however i like Masasa beach among of those that i mentioned its becuase of its simplicity.
"MASASA BEACH"
Situated in the island of tingloy Mabini,Batangas. It's approximately 3-4 hour trip by land and sea, this is also the reason why i strongly recommended this place it's because of its short-travel time.
Here are some Travel tips, that will help you out if you're planning to go there.
by commute:
Going to masasa beach.
- take a bus at LRT-Buendia,you can choose either DLTB bus or CERES LINER bound to Batangas tell the conductor to drop you off to Batangas Grand Terminal fare is P157.00 for DLTB and P147.00 for CERES LINER.Bus interval every hour.
- from Grand Terminal, take a jeepney ride bound to anilao mabini and tell the driver to drop you off to anilao port fare is P35.00,if you are to hire a private boat you need to go to Talaga port the same jeep will bound there as well.
- boat schedule going to tingloy island is from 9:00 am 10:30 am,last trip is at 4:00 pm fare is P65.00 so don't miss the ride or else you need to hire a private one which is more expensive. Its a 45 minute to an hour ride depends on weather condition.(some locals said that the boat trip is now on an hourly basis, better if you stick to the boat schedule)
- from tingloy port, local tricyles are waiting to take you too masasa beach a 5 minute ride, fare is P60.00 regardless how many are you, it's per trip basis.
- and then it's a 10 minute walk on a rice field,,(awesome,,refreshing specially it it'green.
Now here are some Photo's guys enjoy.
our boat...we hired a private one to maximize the time.
tingloy port at it's best, even at the port the water is already clear and clean.
In Masasa Beach, just to set your expectation it's back to basics,NO ENTRANCE FEE..but there is electricity and water source is ok just approach the locals of course a small amount of donation will do,but if you're fun of adventure you need to bring everything like camping materials lot's of water, food and power banks.
Rice fields and it's harvest time.
GOOD NEWS,GOOD NEWS.GOOD NEWS...... for non-campers, that don't want to bring everything, just my last visit, well i'm writing this as we speak.I spoke to one of the locals ate Rosie Salazar very accommodating, they have now kubo's for rent at reasonable price with complete use of the facility meaning good wash rooms, good water source and comfortable to sleep, they offer 'paluto as well' with a charged.Good for those who wants to have a team building you don't need to worry anymore where to sleep, kubos can accommodate up to 40 persons, they do have rooms for couple and for small groups as well.Kubo is very good inside
Here's the Prices according to ate rosie.

kubo with free duyan.
IMPORTANT TIP...
Guys, don't forget to go to the other side of the shore, amazing view is waiting you there, it's just a 10 minute walk from the campsing site or from the shore, most of the visitors missed this cos there's no guide or local tourism at all that will tell you to go there ate rosie the one that told us.
the other side of the beach where the sun sets..
this is the other side guys, go there and enjoy.
Lastly, my overall experience is good, verdict on the beach for me it's good 7 out of 10 depends on how you appreciate nature.Sand not too fine like boracay or puerto but its creamy white, what i like most is the CORALS.clean and clear water you can even see your feet under so don't forget to bring your goggles.
